Sunday July 5th 1981
Nagoya, Aichi Prefectural Gymnasium
First of all I would like to thank Joe Bryan the creator of Basho Fury for providing me with a pair of cards that had eluded him in the creation of the 1981 set. Zaonishiki in the Makuuchi now has an overall rating of 59 and Yutakayama, who was in the Juryo until this tournament, is rated 50.
There was the usual shuffling between bashos with Azumanada, Banryuyama, Hidanohana, Takamisugi promoted along with with fresh face Shishiho. Arase, Hoo, the injured Kotetsuyama, Kurosegawa and Tamanofuji all drop out of the Makuuchi, and Kaiki is able to return from his injury but Wakanohana will be missing from the proceedings.
Banryuyama has been bouncing between the Makuuchi and Juryo this year and his return to the top level saw him take a defeat in an entertaining battle with Wakajishi. It would be a mixed day for the new or returning entrants to the division with Azumanada defeating fellow promoted wrestler Takamisugi, Hidinohana winning over Kotochitose, and Shishiho losing to Juryo competitor Arase.

This blog is to share results in my sports replay gaming. All of the games involve pencil, paper, cards and dice; no digital gaming here. Most games are full season replays, but there will also be some fictional competitions thrown in. It's been a while, but I hope that 2017 sees a return of blog activity.
About M.E. myself and I

- I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris
