The Maple Leafs are involved in a carbon copy of their game on Sunday against the Rangers to extend their unbeaten streak to seven games, this time Toronto came from behind in the second and gave up the tying goal in the third to keep the teams deadlocked in the standings. Things could have been different if Jean-Guy Talbot had beaten Johnny Bower on his penalty shot, just seventy seconds into the game. Both sides were also disciplined with Montreal killing a pair of minors in the first, Toronto picking up one each in the second and third periods.
